Massage Therapy Treatment Plan

Finding deep tissue massage therapy in Toronto or any other city can be daunting. Massage Therapy treatment can be, “hit and miss”. This is particularly true in regards to deep tissue massage and treatments to the fascia. Typically those that seek this style of treatment are looking for particular results. They are generally discerning and are veterans of deep tissue treatments. They know exactly what they are looking for.

In order to facilitate the best potential outcomes for patients, our clinic has a 4 Initial Treatment Plan Model.

Why the methodology?

The reason why we do this is that we feel that our style of massage therapy treatment requires a gauge. This gauge is about understanding if a treatment is working or lacking.

As a therapist, I believe it is not enough for me to simply tell the patient. “the treatment is working” because their muscles and fascia are looser. It is more important to us that the patient is actually noticing changes on their own. It is important to have both objective and subjective feedback.

This methodology is a great way to see if there have been positive changes from the treatment. This is especially important to those that have long-standing chronic tightness and pain.

For those that have had chronic pain and tightness and have had multiple treatments you can understand this. Therapy, at times can have an indefinite timeline for healing. The therapist can guesstimate the length of time, for example 4-6 weeks or 8 weeks or whatever. Usually this is more of a guideline.

What patients want to know is are treatments working in the shortest amount of time. The initial 4 treatments can help address this question.

How does this work?

We advise patients who have chronic pain and tightness to do 4 consecutive treatments over 4 consecutive weeks. We sit down after the 4th treatment. We assess and discuss the outcomes so far.

From this discussion, we can decide to keep going further or spread the treatments out. We can also refer out to another therapist. We can also stop all together, if it seems that the treatments are lacking.

The massage therapy treatment plan can be gauged by the 4 treatments. We advise on the 4 massage therapy treatment plan. However, depending on the patient, it can take fewer treatments to accomplish treatment goals.

The ultimate goal is to graduate patients from the initial treatment plan to a maintenance program. This usually entails 1 treatment a month.

Chronic pain and tightness can be addressed in an efficient way via this massage therapy treatment plan. If you are looking for this specific style of treatment, this can be the direction to go.
